I undertake independent Personal Injury Medical Reports to assist a claim, court or tribunal on matters within my expertise.

 

I have undertaken medico-legal work for the past 20 years (approximately 1000 reports) working from both hospital records and consultation/examination, covering Road Traffic Incidents (car, motorcycle, cycling), and injuries (burns, work accidents, wounds, etc) and producing high quality reports with embedded medical photographs where relevant.

 

I use secure end-end encrypted cloud storage and encrypted email (Proton) and supply electronic password protected reports. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office in regards GDPR.

 

I use an online client booking system to facilitate appointments with automated appointment reminders to minimise non-attendance.

 

I have been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Glasgow Royal Infirmary since May 2005 after completing higher professional training, and Clinical Director for Emergency Care in Glasgow North Sector (Aug 2019 - May 2023). I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. I qualified in 1993 and have worked in posts in Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Research, Accident & Emergency, Paediatrics, and Intensive Care.

 

The Royal Infirmary is a busy city centre Emergency Department. It sees a significant number of major and minor trauma injuries. I am experienced in the management of the wide range of conditions that present to the Emergency Department (ED).

I have undertaken the clinic follow up of soft tissue injuries, wounds, and some fractures involving the upper and lower limbs. I undertake the management of mild to serious head injuries in the acute setting as well as their inpatient conservative management over their immediate neurological observation period and also their short to intermediate rehabilitation period (typically 4-12 weeks post injury).
